Against The Flow

Go here and watch the video. Catalyst Church and their leadership has been a great help to my church, New Journey. Their leadership has always been ready and open to answer any question I’ve had on my church planting journey. My first thoughts when I saw the video was, “God I hope I never have to make the same plea.” But, I realize I make the same plea every night I ask God to start a revolution in Laurens County through the spark of New Journey Church. I make the same plea when I ask God to bless New Journey financially so we can fulfill the mission he has called us to in Laurens. I make the same plea when we receive the offering every Sunday. We all make this plea in one way or another when we call on God or follow His call on our life. Pray big for Catalyst!

I thought I’d post some of the questions I’m asking myself as we enter 2008.

1. How can I be a better follower of Jesus, husband, dad, and friend in 2008?
2. How can I be a more faithful Pastor and leader in 2008?
3. Where do I want my time to go in 2008?
4. Am I doing things that either need to be delegated or deleted?
5. Am I planning to take a Sabbath every week?
6. How am I going to take care of myself physically in 2008?
7. How many books am I going to read?
8. What is my Bible reading plan for 2008?
9. How can I take my service to God to the next level?
10. What are the relationships I need to nurture or cut next year?
11. How am I going to grow as a leader?
12. Am I committed to growing in giving and modeling generosity to my church?
13. How am I going to stir up my gifts and give those time and attention?

I pray 2008 is your best year yet!
